DRIVER PERSONALIZATION SYSTEM
The Driver Personalization System consists of three functions that combine to deliver a greater experience of connection between car and driver and facilitate safer and more stress-free driving for each individual driver: automatic driving position guidance, automatic setting recovery, and driver entry/exit assist.
This makes it easy for drivers to achieve the ideal driving position so they can experience Celebrate Driving from the moment the car starts to move.
12.3-INCH FULL LCD INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
We increased the size of the instrument cluster TFT screen from 7″ (the size of the display on our 7G small lineup) to a full LCD 12.3″ display.
As well as being compatible with Driving Assist Mode and safety warning display, the full LCD instrument cluster also works with our Driver Personalization System, which optimized display visibility for individual drivers.
PANORAMIC SUNROOF
The CX-60 features a panoramic roof that offers a wide field of view and brings plenty of light into the cabin.
The 950mm (W) x 1,021mm (L) panoramic roof and its peripheral parts were meticulously designed to allocate as much surface area to the window as possible to increase the field of view and light range for passengers in the rear seats
PERFORMANCE
3.3 L inline 6-Cylinder Engine
i-Stop saves fuel by automatically turning off the engine when the vehicle is stationary and restarting it when the vehicle moves again.
The latest control technology ensures a quick and almost imperceptible engine restart experience.
M-Hybrid Boost System
M Hybrid Boost (MHEV48), is paired with e-Skyactiv G. This unique mild hybrid system captures energy from deceleration, storing it as electricity to power a motor that assists the engine during pull-away and acceleration.
And to further improve fuel economy, the motor also assists in the light-load range from idling to low speed, the area where internal combustion engines are at their least efficient.
8 Speed automatic Transmission
The powerplant in the CX-60 is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that uses a clutch instead of a torque converter. This setup allows for a more direct transfer of torque from the engine and motor, leading to quick and responsive shifts similar to a manual gearbox.
This design aligns perfectly with Mazda’s Jinba-ittai driving philosophy, enhancing the connection between the driver and the car
Skyactiv Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture
Our CX-60 car has a special feature called Skyactiv Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture. It’s designed to give a thrilling driving experience while being eco-friendly.
The CX-60 has a six-cylinder engine and front-engine rear-wheel-drive layout, making it the first car to showcase this version of our platform.
Kinematic Posture Control (KPC)
The CX-60 boasts sophisticated front and rear suspension systems along with innovative Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) technology. KPC cleverly employs the brakes to stabilize the car during turns and rough terrains, ensuring a smooth and confident driving experience for the passengers.
SAFETY (i-ACTIVSENSE)
MAZDA RADAR CRUISE CONTROL (MRCC)
Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) uses millimeter wave radar to assess speed and distance relative to the car in front and automatically controls vehicle speed.
Working within a predetermined speed range, the MRCC automatically adjusts and maintains a safe distance from the car in front, thereby reducing the driver’s burden on long trips and highways.
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SYSTEM (LDWS)
LDWS recognizes lane markings on the road surface. When a lane departure is anticipated, the system emits a warning sound similar to the noise a vehicle makes when driving over rumble strips, allowing the driver to promptly correct the steering. The system is deactivated when the driver is detected using the turn signal to change lanes.
BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM)
BSM uses 24GHz quasi-millimeter wave radar sensors to detect vehicles in the blind spots at the rear and sides of the car. Audio and visual alerts are activated when the turn signal is engaged, and the system detects a vehicle in the blind spot.
LANE-KEEP ASSIST SYSTEM (LAS)
A forward-facing camera detects lane markings and assists your steering to stay safely within the lane.
This advanced system also alerts you to unintentional lane departures by vibrating the steering wheel or sounding an alarm. If a lane change is intentional (detected by turn signal usage, etc.), steering assistance is canceled, and no warning is issued.
The system operates at speeds above approximately 60 km/h.
CRUSHING AND TRAFFIC SUPPORT (CTS)
CTS help reduce driver fatigue when in traffic jams on the highway. When engaged, CTS automatically controls vehicle speed to keep a suitable distance from the vehicle ahead, and also assists with steering torque to maintain proper lane position through bends.
If lane markings are not detected, the system follows the path of the preceding vehicle. In this way, CTS promotes a safe, comfortable driving experience.
REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT (RCTA)
RCTA utilizes the same sensors as BSM to alert the driver when it detects approaching vehicles from either side while the car is in reverse.
Alerts are provided via a blinking indicator on the side mirrors and an audible warning.
Notes: i-Activsense safety features are not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. There are limitations to the range and detection of the systems. Availability of safety equipment/features varies according to country and model grade. Please consult your local Mazda dealer for exact information.
